Aion, the innovative electric vehicle division of GAC, unveiled its first global strategic model, the Global New Version Aion V, on July 23. This model, manufactured in Thailand, aims to become a global benchmark by meeting the varied needs of families around the world. The Aion V is meticulously designed to cater to international consumer preferences, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, standing out with its rugged yet elegant aesthetic and luxurious interior. Its spacious cabin, based on Aion’s exclusive AEP 3.0 platform, offers 4.42 square meters of room, a wheelbase of 2.775 meters, and an interior height of nearly 1.3 meters, ensuring ample space for both children and large pets. Additionally, a three-tier trunk storage system enhances its practicality.
Technologically, the Aion V excels with advanced electric drive, control, and battery systems, delivering a remarkable range of 750 kilometers and an efficient energy consumption rate of 12.8 kWh/100 km. It features Aion’s groundbreaking 400V+3C fast-charging technology, compatible with 99% of global charging infrastructures and capable of providing up to 370 kilometers of range in just 15 minutes. Inside, the vehicle is equipped with GAC’s ADiGO PILOT intelligent driving system, powered by the Gen4 self-evolving AI algorithm and a high-performance NVIDIA Orin-X chip, enabling sophisticated navigation and driving assistance without reliance on high-precision maps. Prior to its launch, the Aion V underwent extensive testing across 28 cities, garnering high praise from industry experts and users alike. By launching this model globally, GAC demonstrates its ability to integrate research, production, and sales internationally, positioning the Aion V as a top contender in the mid-sized SUV market and potentially reshaping the global automotive landscape.
