SSAB has introduced two groundbreaking steel variants: SSAB ZeroTM and SSAB Fossil-freeTM. SSAB ZeroTM, available since 2023, is made from recycled steel and produced using fossil-free energy sources, while SSAB Fossil-freeTM is created using HYBRIT® technology, which replaces traditional carbon-intensive methods with hydrogen-powered processes, leaving water as a byproduct instead of carbon dioxide. This partnership will allow Trelleborg to further its mission of reducing noise and vibration in cars while aligning with broader efforts to create a sustainable, low-emission automotive industry.
