Stellantis has developed e-ROUTES, a mobile application aimed at enhancing the electric vehicle driving experience by reducing range anxiety and optimizing trip planning. Initially launched with Citroën in October 2023, the app has expanded to other brands including Peugeot, DS Automobiles, Opel, Vauxhall, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep®, and Lancia by summer 2024. Designed for customers without a built-in navigation system, e-ROUTES integrates with CarPlay® and Android Auto™ to provide real-time vehicle data and intelligent trip planning. It suggests the most efficient charging stations based on battery status, vehicle specifications, and driving conditions, while also offering real-time traffic updates, speed camera alerts, and voice navigation to lighten the mental workload of drivers.

The app’s advanced routing algorithm considers the location, quality, and availability of charging stations, and updates trip predictions dynamically based on the vehicle’s performance and traffic conditions. This ensures drivers receive the best route and charging recommendations tailored to their preferences and needs, including nearby amenities and estimated charging costs. e-ROUTES is available through Stellantis’ CONNECT PLUS package or as a standalone service, providing flexibility in subscription options. By leveraging this technology, Stellantis aims to enhance vehicle safety, improve customer experience, and support the transition to electric vehicles as part of its Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan.
