i-Charging is an innovation-driven company focused on developing advanced, technology-based products within the electric mobility infrastructure sector. Their goal is to become a technological leader in the field, offering sustainable solutions with global ambition. One of their most groundbreaking innovations is the i-light, the first EV charger equipped with a 37″ glass display that allows easy monitoring from the driver’s seat. With a focus on heavy-duty vehicles, i-Charging is preparing to lead the transition toward electrification with their customizable megawatt charger, which offers flexibility in power outputs and compatibility with both CCS and MCS connectors. This makes it a suitable solution for long-distance electric transportation.

The Megawatt Charging System (MCS), which was developed by CharIN, represents a significant advancement over the current Combined Charging System (CCS), providing up to 3.75 MW of charging power. This ultra-fast charging capability is essential for electric commercial vehicles, particularly in the trucking industry, where charging times must align with mandatory driver break periods. MCS also offers high energy efficiency and the ability to draw power from renewable sources, supporting cleaner transportation. However, the implementation of this technology poses challenges such as high infrastructure costs and grid demands. Standards for MCS are expected to be published by 2025, and i-Charging plans to launch their certified system the same year.
