The Megawatt Charging System (MCS), which was developed by CharIN, represents a significant advancement over the current Combined Charging System (CCS), providing up to 3.75 MW of charging power. This ultra-fast charging capability is essential for electric commercial vehicles, particularly in the trucking industry, where charging times must align with mandatory driver break periods.
