The technological advancements supporting this initiative were thoroughly detailed at the event. Honda emphasized its “Thin” and “Light” approaches by creating a new, ultra-efficient EV platform. The platform integrates advanced materials, such as ultra-high strength steel and a compact e-Axle system, achieving a low center of gravity and enhanced vehicle performance. The innovative thin battery pack and active aerodynamic systems aim to improve both driving stability and energy efficiency. Honda’s production processes have also been refined with advanced megacasting and 3D friction stir welding, allowing for a stronger, lighter vehicle structure.

The “Wise” approach leverages AI and connectivity to enhance user experiences. Honda plans to integrate its original software-defined vehicle (SDV) technologies, offering over-the-air updates to continuously improve the vehicle post-purchase. The vehicles will also feature upgraded AD/ADAS systems, including eyes-off Level 3 automation in traffic, and Honda’s advanced driver assistance technology. This blend of advanced safety features, seamless driving control, and innovative digital user experiences redefines the future of mobility, offering not just transportation but also a connected, joyful, and efficient driving experience.
