Forsee Power, a specialist in smart battery systems, has been selected by Turkish bus manufacturer Otokar to supply battery technology for the e-TERRITO, the company’s electric intercity coach. Otokar, a leader in Turkey’s bus manufacturing sector, is rapidly advancing its zero-emission transportation initiatives. With vehicles sold in over 75 countries, the company has expanded its electric offerings to include the e-TERRITO, a coach available in 12-meter and 13-meter versions, capable of transporting 57 and 63 passengers, respectively. The latest iteration, introduced in 2024, features a 450 kWh battery capacity. To power this fleet, Otokar has chosen Forsee Power’s ZEN LFP 36 battery system, which offers a 400-kilometer range and fast-charging capabilities within four hours.
The ZEN LFP battery line is designed specifically for heavy-duty commercial vehicles such as buses and trucks, providing an optimal balance of energy efficiency, longevity, and modular integration. Available in 36 kWh and 55 kWh versions, the battery system is known for its high energy density and flexibility in various vehicle configurations. With a lifespan of up to 6,000 cycles and compliance with multiple stringent safety and performance standards, the ZEN LFP batteries ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness for operators. Additionally, the system is compact and designed for easy replacement, contributing to a lower total cost of ownership. The production of Forsee Power’s battery systems for Otokar’s e-TERRITO will take place in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, France, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainable and innovative energy solutions for the transportation industry.
