Powerful Performance Meets Smarter Engineering

This next-generation hybrid system features a dual-motor transmission setup: one motor (P1) for starting and battery charging, and another (P2) for propulsion and regenerative braking. The result is a more responsive, smoother, and quieter ride. The system allows flexible pairing with various internal combustion engines, producing output from 100 to over 300 PS. Hyundai has also enhanced engine efficiency through an over-expansion cycle and new piston design, reducing power loss and improving fuel combustion. Compared to previous models, the new system significantly increases power and fuel economy.

Integration of Advanced Electrification Features

Hyundai’s hybrid innovation goes beyond just power. The company integrates advanced electrification features like e-AWD, e-VMC 2.0, e-Handling, and Stay Mode. These systems improve ride comfort, stability, and emergency handling. Technologies such as Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Smart Regenerative Braking offer added value, making the hybrids more adaptable and user-friendly. Features like Hierarchical Predictive Control (HPC) also help optimize battery charge and driving modes based on the route ahead, enhancing real-world efficiency.

Expanding the Hybrid Lineup Across Vehicle Classes

With its scalable output, the new hybrid system will power everything from compact cars to large SUVs and luxury vehicles. The first to benefit is the all-new Palisade hybrid. The lineup will grow from three to five models, and Hyundai plans to apply the system to more Kia and Genesis vehicles by 2026. This wide-ranging approach ensures that hybrid technology can meet diverse market needs, from urban commuters to premium buyers.

Driving Toward a Smarter, Greener Future

Hyundai Motor Group’s new hybrid system marks a major step toward cleaner and more intelligent transportation. By combining power, flexibility, and smart features, Hyundai makes hybrids more than just fuel-efficient—they become smarter, safer, and more enjoyable to drive. As global demand for sustainable vehicles grows, Hyundai is leading the charge with innovations that blend tradition and technology seamlessly.
