Electrifying the Future of Construction Transport
The construction industry is undergoing a groundbreaking transformation, and Mercedes-Benz Trucks is at the forefront. With the launch of the eArocs 400, an all-electric variant of its legendary Arocs line, the company is accelerating the shift toward sustainable construction logistics. Debuting at bauma 2025, this truck combines proven strength with cutting-edge CO2-free mobility, making it ideal for both urban and off-road environments. Designed to meet the growing demand for eco-conscious transport, the eArocs 400 showcases what modern heavy-duty trucking can look like: powerful, quiet, and ready for tomorrow.
All-Electric, Yet All-Powerful: The Heart of the eArocs 400
Unlike many concept vehicles, the eArocs 400 is production-ready, with a limited annual rollout planned for select European markets starting in 2026. It will be available in multiple configurations, including 32- and 41-ton models, suitable for tasks like concrete mixing and construction tipping. The electric drivetrain uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries with a total capacity of 414 kWh, offering a range of up to 240 kilometers without recharging. With 800-volt technology and a 3-speed transmission, it delivers up to 450 kW peak performance—all while slashing energy consumption by at least 50% compared to diesel trucks.
Smart, Safe, and Built for the Job
Mercedes-Benz has equipped the eArocs 400 with the Multimedia Cockpit Interactive 2, a modern infotainment system that includes speech control and construction-focused features. On the safety front, advanced systems like Active Brake Assist 6 and Front Guard Assist protect both drivers and pedestrians, especially in crowded construction zones. These features not only meet current EU safety regulations but often exceed them, offering peace of mind in high-risk environments. All components—from rugged axles to protective bumpers—are engineered for heavy-duty use without compromise.
Body Options and Real-World Utility
The eArocs 400 isn’t just a drivetrain innovation—it’s a versatile platform ready for real-world applications. Whether fitted with the HTM 905 Liebherr mixer or the CIFA E10 all-electric drum, the truck is optimized for performance, efficiency, and ease of use. Even the power take-off (PTO) draws directly from the high-voltage battery system, enabling zero-emission concrete mixing. Mercedes-Benz also showcases its Meiller tipping solution at bauma 2025, highlighting the flexibility of this electric powerhouse. Built for construction, designed for the future—the eArocs 400 is ready to take the load.
