Juice Technology AG, a global leader in mobile charging stations for electric vehicles, is set to unveil its innovative mobile, bi-directional AC charging station at the Power2Drive Europe 2024 event in Munich. Scheduled from June 19 to 21, this exhibition will focus on the revolutionary concept of bi-directional charging. The bi-directional AC solution developed by Juice Technology addresses the cost-prohibitive nature of bi-directional DC charging stations, providing an affordable alternative based on their JUICE BOOSTER. This new AC solution is versatile, accommodating both plug and socket adapters, unlike existing cumbersome AC solutions that often require additional devices and are limited to specific applications like vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), vehicle-to-load (V2L), or vehicle-to-home (V2H).
Juice Technology’s goal is to create a comprehensive, cost-effective solution that integrates all uni-directional and bi-directional charging scenarios into a single device. This device will be compatible with over 35 different power outlets and aims to meet future norms and standards. The development of this future-proof two-way AC solution involves early collaboration with various stakeholders to establish new communication standards. CEO Christoph Erni emphasizes the importance of partnerships with OEMs and energy suppliers to advance the integration of stored energy back into the grid (V2G). Juice Technology is already collaborating with several OEMs and energy suppliers to ensure compatibility across all vehicle models and brands. With significant representation on standards committees, Juice Technology is poised to play a pivotal role in standardizing the electric mobility industry.
