The Fiat 500e earned its first American award: the 2024 Urban Green Car of the Year from Green Car Journal

The 500e secured first place in key European markets such as Italy, Germany, Spain, Belgium, and Austria.

This reward marks a significant milestone for the 500e, as it continues to make progress towards sustainable mobility.

With 43 international awards across 10 countries since its European debut in 2020, the Fiat 500e has proven itself as the most awarded FIAT ever. Green Car Journal editors praised the 500e for its merge of efficiency, affordability, distinctive style, and zero-emission motoring.

Ron Cogan, Editor and Publisher of Green Car Journal and GreenCarJournal.com, highlighted the innate appeal of the Fiat 500e, stating “FIAT’s new 500e is innately appealing with its compact form, Italian fashion sense, and zero-emission driving. It’s also right-sized for urban life, which means easier maneuvering and parking in crowded environs”.

Since its global launch, the Fiat 500e has surpassed 185,000 units in sales and played a vital role in the green transition of international metropolises. Currently available in 44 countries, the 500e continues its electrification journey worldwide. In 2023, the model claimed the top spot in the A+B BEV segment in Europe, boasting a 14.7% market share despite a 5% segment decrease.

Fiat 500e’s success extends to its recognition with 43 international awards in 10 countries, including Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Poland, Belgium, Greece, the Netherlands, Israel, and the United States, since its initial European launch in 2020.
