Mahle chargeBIG Unveils Smallest Wallbox for EV Charging

Mahle chargeBIG has introduced the world’s smallest wallbox, revolutionizing EV charging with a compact and efficient design.

A Game-Changing Charging Solution for Electric Vehicles

Mahle chargeBIG has introduced the world’s smallest wallbox, revolutionizing EV charging with a compact and efficient design. The smallBOX is available in two versions: ECO, with a 7.4 kW charging capacity, and PRO, offering 22 kW for faster charging. The smallBOX PRO can fully charge an electric vehicle within three to four hours, making it ideal for both personal and commercial use. This innovative wallbox connects to the chargeCLUSTER, a centralized charging distributor available in multiple sizes, ranging from two to 36 charging points. The modular approach optimizes costs per charging point and allows businesses and municipalities to scale their EV charging infrastructure efficiently.

Smart Charging with Dynamic Load Management

The new chargeCLUSTER system enhances the efficiency of the smallBOX by incorporating dynamic load management, ensuring a balanced electricity distribution while preventing grid overloads. This reduces peak load costs and enhances the overall stability of power consumption. Additionally, the system complies with calibration regulations, ensuring accurate billing for users. According to Dr. Matthias Kreimeier, CEO of Mahle chargeBIG, this approach significantly reduces installation time and cost, making parking space electrification seamless. The centralized design bundles all electronic components into one unit, simplifying maintenance and reducing complexity.

Seamless and User-Friendly Charging Experience

Mahle chargeBIG caters primarily to businesses, fleet operators, and public sector clients, but its scalable design also appeals to hotels, amusement parks, and housing industries. The chargeBIG app enables users to activate the charging process effortlessly via eRoaming, using popular charging applications. Additionally, users can opt for direct payment via RFID charging cards, debit cards, or credit cards, eliminating the need for an app. This versatile charging solution is ideal for public parking spaces, providing a convenient and accessible experience for EV drivers.
