UTA eCharge®: A Pan-European Electric Vehicle Charging Network

UTA Edenred, a leader in European mobility services, has recently expanded its UTA eCharge® public electric vehicle charging capabilities to several new countries including Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the Nordic region—Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. This brings the total operational countries with UTA eCharge access to 15 across Europe. Customers can now tap into UTA’s vast network of over 925,000 public charging points, including around 300 stations compatible with trucks and supported by the Milence fast-charging network. This seamless expansion reflects UTA Edenred’s commitment to facilitating sustainable transport solutions for commercial and private fleets.

Comprehensive 360° Charging Solution for All Vehicle Classes

UTA eCharge® caters to all types of electric and hybrid fleet vehicles, ranging from compact cars and vans to heavy-duty trucks. The system allows charging at public stations, company premises like depots and workplaces, and even at drivers’ homes, providing a full-circle charging solution. This broad service spectrum supports fleet electrification strategies by integrating home, work, and on-the-go charging. Besides charging, UTA Edenred supports customers with the design, installation, and management of corporate charging infrastructure, including billing, maintenance, and training—ensuring end-to-end service for fleets’ electrification needs.

Innovative Features Enhancing Fleet Management and Sustainability

One of the standout features of UTA eCharge® is its automatic mileage recording functionality, which logs a vehicle’s mileage during charging and integrates it into invoicing automatically. This reduces manual errors and helps vehicle operators monitor usage and detect any anomalies. Regular comparison between mileage and electricity consumption aids in assessing battery health and estimating electric vehicle residual value. Initially available for Volkswagen, BMW, and Cupra passenger cars, the feature will soon support models from Skoda, Tesla, and Audi, reflecting UTA’s intent to cover a wide range of EV models and fleet compositions.

Supporting the Transition to Sustainable Mobility

According to Pierre Jalady, General Manager of Edenred Mobility EMEA and CEO of UTA Edenred, the network expansion exemplifies the company’s dedication to enabling a sustainable transport future. By providing accessible, reliable charging solutions across multiple European markets, UTA Edenred helps customers of all sizes transition smoothly to electric mobility. The expansion also aligns with broader European goals for reducing carbon emissions in transport, improving air quality, and promoting energy efficiency across industries. As EV adoption accelerates, companies like UTA Edenred are crucial partners in building the infrastructure needed for widespread electric fleet deployment.
